Warren Buffet, the business magnate and investing legend, often referred to as the “Oracle of Omaha” has been in the limelight for his investments and business ventures for over 60 years. As a result of his success, Buffett has amassed a net worth of over $80 billion.

Even though he has enough money to buy a small country, surprisingly, Buffett lives a relatively humble and non-flashy lifestyle. Especially when it comes to his house.

As a Billionaire, you would assume he lives in a gigantic mansion with a helipad, olympic sized swimming pool, and expensive sports cars. But that isn’t the case, and never has been for Buffet.

As a matter of fact, Buffet lives in the same house he has owned since 1958. Buffet originally purchased the house for $31,500 ($250,000 in today’s money). According to local real estate agents, Buffett’s home is currently valued at $650,000, which accounts for just 0.001% of his total net worth.

Located in a quiet, non-posh Omaha neighborhood, the house covers 6,570 square-feet, and has five bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The house is surrounded by fences and privacy shrubs, but there are no security guards, no security cameras, no razor wire, or anything. And that is surprising considering he is one of the most powerful men in the world.

One would assume that a billionaire would surely want to move to a more extravagant location, one that best suits the Billionaire’s bank balance. However, he told BBC “I’m happy there. I’d move if I thought I’d be happier somewhere else”.
